Biomechanical Assessments
A biomechanical assessment investigates the functional capacity of all the structures of the foot and how they interact during activity. Podiatrists are your lower limb specialists investigating from the hips to toes how your bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons interact with the ground as you walk, run, jump and play. A biomechanical assessment is used to investigate the causes of pain in the lower limb, ascertain the underlying cause of the injury, rehabilitate the injured tissue and prevent recurrence.
