Orthotics Surrey
Orthotics or orthoses are medical insoles that are worn in shoes with an aim to treat a specific issue. Orthotics can be made for any type of shoe; dress shoes, ballet flats, trainers, cycling shoes, ski boots or ice skate. It really does depend on the construction and knowledge of the podiatrist prescribing the device. Your podiatrist will help you decide what type of orthotic you need whether a semi-custom (modified off-the-shelf orthotic) or a custom foot orthotic (every part customised to your needs). Orthotics are prescribed for a reason and largely only form one small portion of your treatment plan but it is best to discuss your needs and issues with your podiatrist.
